Refractories for Different Parts of Cement Rotary Kiln

Transition zone is in the upper part of the cement rotary kiln, connecting the material preheating zone and clinker sintering zone. High aluminate containing high aluminum and silicon with excellent wear resistance, fire resistance and chemical corrosion resistance are selected for transition zone.

Clinker Sintering Zone

Clinker sintering zone is in the lower part of the cement Rotary kiln. It directly contacts the high-temperature clinker. Magnesium aluminum, chromium mafic or high aluminum with good fire resistance and chemical corrosion resistance are selected for clinker sintering zone.

Cooling Zone

Cooling zone is at the exhaust port of the cement rotary kiln to cool the clinker.   Aluminum oxide, silicon or the chrome-bearing refractories with good fire resistance and chemical erosion resistance are selected for cooling zone.

Magnesium Chromium Brick

Magnesium chromium brick is used in the sintering zone of cement rotary kiln, it has excellent fire resistance and chemical corrosion resistance, especially for alkaline substances. So it is selected for sintering zone of cement rotary kiln.

High Alumina Bricks

High alumina brick is used in the sintering zone and cooling zone of cement rotary kiln. It has characteristic of high fire resistance, corrosion resistance and mechanical strength. So it is selected for sintering zone and cooling zone of cement rotary kiln.

Silica Brick

Silica brick is used in the sintering zone and cooling zone of cement rotary kiln. It has characteristic of high fire resistance, chemical corrosion resistance and thermal shock stability. So it is selected for sintering zone and cooling zone of cement rotary kiln.
