Introduction to Silicon Carbide Rod

Silicon carbide rods, also known as Sic rod, SCR, or Siliconit in Japan, are non-metallic high-temperature electric heating elements made from high-purity green hexagonal silicon carbide as the main raw material. They are processed according to specific ratios, shaped into rods or tubes, and then sintered through a high-temperature siliconization and recrystallization process at 2200°C. These rods can be used in oxidizing atmospheres at temperatures of up to 1450°C, and they can provide continuous service for up to 2000 hours.

Silicon carbide rods are characterized by their high operating temperatures, making them resistant to high temperatures, oxidation, corrosion, fast heating, long lifespan, minimal high-temperature deformation, and ease of installation and maintenance.
